Atlas, the monster created by humans

Surprise, here’s the color palette I went with. Atlas wears a red wood mask covering his face constantly. He has done so since he lost his sister. People would throw things and scream at him as a child for being one of the only survivors of a massacre of a popular village. He’d always been bad luck for both villages. One night he came back to find his sister killed, with a note calling him a freak and a monster. His duel colored eyes were seen as a curse from the gods. So Atlas lived quietly as a blacksmith until the sister village was attacked. He watched as the man who killed his sister suffered a drawn out painful death. After helping defend the village from the same mauraders who killed his village, he left with no trace.
Wandering the lands until he was captured into slave trade. This further solidified his hatred of humans. Calling him a monster, wishing he would die and take his bad luck with him. He learned to craft runes from another slave, and escaped, but still wears his chains as a reminder. Giving them the power of runes.
This is a illustration of his mask being broken, and releasing that idea that he should act like the cold hearted monster everyone always made him out to be. Betrayed by humans once more.
